Nami's face took on her usual business smile.
Nami: "Why, no. Have a seat first while I get you some tea."

Yoshida narrowed his eyes slightly and just turned his head slightly, facing Suzu.
Yoshida: Suzu.
The boy looked at him, waiting for him to ask his question. Yoshida narrowed his eyes alittle more as he continued to talk.
Yoshida: I want you to head to the back alleys of this resturant. But make it quick.
The silver haired boy was alittle uncertain, but nodded his head once, understanding. Satisfied alittle, Yoshida sat down at a table his arms crossed, as he looked back up at Nami, smirking his same grin.
Yoshida: Now how about that tea.

Back alley
It was with a mix of relief and unease that Umeko recognized the boy aproaching her and Shinpachi.
Kitamura. Which can only mean one thing. Yoshida. Kogoro will get the bad news about Kenshin alright. But what was Yoshida's purpose in coming here? Or even sending his page?
Definitely not for her cooking.

Shinpachi sqinted his eyes, seeing who the boy was.
Shin: Who's that...?
The boy stopped, and at which he was now only about a few feet away from Umeko and Shin. He looked up, his eyes looking aggresive and inpatient.
Suzu:....
He paused for a minute and started his investigation right away, just like yoshida wanted him to.
Suzu: Where are the rebals? My master wishes to find them.
His voise was so strict, yet calm in a way. Like it was just plain buisness. His copper eyes stragly, only being fixed on the two ppl perfectly.

Umeko: Most kids are nice to start with... (loud enough for Suzu to hear) After that, it depends on their teachers! I'll discuss my business with him in the back room. Boy..."
(She hurries forward and grabs Suzu's arm before he can protest. )
Umeko: (To Shin) Thank you, kind sir. This boy here will escort me back to my restuarant.

Shinpachi just sblinked once, confused, then just shrugged turning the other way, turning his head facing them both as he smiled.
Shin: Alright then, be careful!
He waved slightly and walked off, dissapearing into another alley. Just leaving Umeko and Suzu there.
The silver haired boy was surprised by the woman's actions and looked confused.
Suzu: I will?

Suzu just inched one eyebrow at her, then just rolled his eyes sighing.
Suzu: Whatever, if you think it will make it quicker...
Starts to walk, with Umeko still attached to his arm. But as they walked, he remembered what she said only a few moments ago. He blinked once then looked at her.
Suzu: What did you mean when you said "most kids are nice to start out with"?

Umeko: Nothing much, except your conduct reflects on your master. So watch it. Getting on the bad side of a wolf with your attitude's a quick end to your career as a page. (sighs, thinking of Kenshin) A sign of these troubled times, i guess... when boys have to carry swords...

Suzu looked at her for a few seconds and looked foreward again, narrowing his eyes slightly.
Suzu: I don't need advice from you...my master was the only one who took me in when no one else would, over these years, he taught me to be this way. Plus, I don't see what the point is to have a 'nice' personality.
His voice stayed calm, and didn't really get loud, just stated.

Umeko thinking: Well, raised near ink turns one black*... Troubled times... Wonder what that Yoshida wants with me... (*I kinda translated this phrase loosely from a Chinese saying. It is saying the company you keep rubs off on you. ;D ;D Umeko doesn't seem to have a good opinion of Yoshida, does she?)

As Umeko was caught up in her thoughts, Suzu stopped to the resturant's enterence. He was still looking forward, his head high and his eyes focused, though, he looked down at Umeko emotionlessly.
Suzu: We're here. My master is waiting inside for you.
The boy looked forward again and reached out his hand to turn the knob that leads in the building, but he stopped for a few momenst before he did, his hair covering his crimson-brown eyes.
Suzu: Though, I warn you...once he gets the knews about the rebals being sent to the Shinsengumi jail, he will be very unhappy,...I somewhat pity you.
After those words, he turned the handle, both of them walking into the backroom.
Meanwhile-
By the sound of a door shut from the back, Yoshida placed down his tea and looked with heartless eyes in that direction, obviously getting the idea that his page had returned.

Umeko faced the samurai squarely as she took her place. Her back was still bothering her, but she managed to maintain a dignified front. She was pleased to see Nami had brought the tea tray. Turning to Suzu.
Umeko: Kitamura-san, go and ask for a tray of sweet bean cakes for us. And do get yourself some refreshment from the kitchen. (Ignoring Yoshida's glare) Yes, Yoshida-san, I believe we'll be needing a kitchen help... and do get an older boy, ok?
(Umeko's just delivered the bad news. And mentioned that they shouldn't be getting a boy to be a hitokiri. Anyone has plans to get Kenshin out of jail? Maybe we can get Sakamoto or some other Choushu leader around.)
