Did anyone see the movie : Reflections directors cut? Man! The art work on that looked nothing like the real characters. Kaoru looks 40 even tho she's like, 35, and kenshin looks 50 even tho he's like 45, Kenji does look okay, but they totally killed Sano!!! did you see him? T-T

Really? I like the ova art better than the tv series. I find the quality of ova art much better and Sano looks cooler than before!!! Well thats my oppinion but I just like the art style for that better.

No comment. HAve n't seen the Reflections OVA. My friends who saw it are baying for blood. They say the scriptwriters and producers etc, in fact the whole team, should be torn apart by wild horses and thrown to the sharks. On top of being boiled in oil and set on fire.

The violent reaction stems from the fact my pals are Kenshin fan-girls. ;D I mean, THEY KILLED KEN-SAMA! OMG! OMG! Personally, I prefer the Memories OVA about Kenshin & Tomoe... I mean, they did a good job capturing Kenshin's nature. I based Umeko's interaction with Kenshin on it. She sees him more as a child forced into a man's role than a killer.

Yes, I noticed, although it is kinda true, it seems like Ken never really did a a nice child hood, being brought as a killer and all...

True, an orphan and a slave, then having his 'family' ie the three girls with him killed by bandits. Then he winds up with Hiko until he runs off to join the revolution.
Although I think Katsura and Takasugi probably felt something abt turning Kenshin into their hitokiri, but they kinda accepted it as a necessary evil. The ends justify the means.
In the OVA, Takasugi asked Katsura to promise not to ruin Kenshin's life. And Katsura asked Tomoe to take care of Battousai and protect him from his darker side.(This is a very loose translation)
